ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP

ServiceSetu Academics is pleased to announce a 3-Day Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and Bibliometric Analysis, designed to equip researchers with rigorous, transparent, and publication-oriented review methodologies.

This programme addresses the growing demand for high-quality review papers in leading journals by offering structured guidance on PRISMA-based SLR protocols and advanced bibliometric techniques. The workshop blends conceptual clarity with hands-on applications, enabling participants to independently design, execute, and report SLR and bibliometric studies.

Prof. Satish Kumar is an internationally recognised scholar with extensive experience in systematic reviews, bibliometric research, and high-impact journal publications. His research and teaching focus on advanced research methodologies and evidence-based scholarship, making him a sought-after mentor for doctoral scholars and faculty members globally.

Key Learning Outcomes

1. Systematic Literature Review (SLR)

Participants will learn to:

  • Formulate clear review objectives and research questions

  • Develop robust SLR protocols and review frameworks

  • Apply PRISMA guidelines for identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion

  • Select appropriate databases (Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, etc.)

  • Define inclusion–exclusion criteria and conduct quality assessment of studies

2. Bibliometric Analysis – Core Concepts

The programme will cover:

  • Introduction to bibliometrics and science mapping

  • Citation analysis and impact indicators

  • Co-citation analysis (authors, documents, journals)

  • Bibliographic coupling and identification of research streams

  • Keyword co-occurrence and thematic evolution analysis

  • Mapping intellectual structures and knowledge domains

3. Tools and Software Applications

Hands-on sessions will include:

  • Bibliometric analysis using R Studio (Bibliometrix / Biblioshiny)

  • Visualisation using VOSviewer and R-based networks

  • Data cleaning, merging, and preprocessing of bibliometric datasets

  • Interpretation of network maps, clusters, and density visualisations
