About the Speaker
Prof. Sachin Kumar Mangla is the Dean (Research, Publications & Projects) and Professor of Supply Chain, Operations and Business Decision-Making at FORE School of Management, Delhi. He is also a Visiting Fellow at Plymouth Business School, University of Plymouth, UK, and holds a PhD from IIT Roorkee.
His areas of specialisation include green and sustainable supply chains, low-carbon operations, Industry 4.0, circular economy and decision modelling. He has taught at universities across the United Kingdom, India, France and Southeast Asia.
A distinguished researcher, Prof. Mangla has published extensively in leading UTD, FT50, ABS 4 and ABDC A* journals, including Production and Operations Management, British Journal of Management, Omega, Transportation Research Part E, Journal of Business Logistics, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, and Journal of Business Research.
With an h-index of 96 and more than 29,000 citations, he regularly serves as an Associate Editor and Guest Editor for several reputed academic journals.
Prof. Mangla has contributed to major sustainability and circular-economy projects, including the €1.3 million EU RISE project, a British Council Newton Fund project, and research initiatives supported by ICSSR, AICTE and DST. He has received fellowships from IIIE, IETI and IMP and holds Certified Lean Consultant status from the National Productivity Council, Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
He was ranked among the world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford University for four consecutive years—2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. In 2023, he was also included in the Clarivate™ list of Highly Cited Researchers for demonstrating significant and broad research influence.
He is associated with the NWO–Dutch Research Council, Austria Research Council’s Circular Economy Committee, and the Future Earth Systems of Sustainable Consumption and Production Knowledge-Action Network. He has also served as an advisory expert-panel member for AICTE and ICSSR, Government of India.

The ServiceSetu Academics PAN India PhD Induction Programme 2026 is a free national initiative designed for incoming and continuing PhD, FPM and EFPM scholars. Organised under the theme “Empowering India’s Next Generation of Researchers for Viksit Bharat 2047,” the programme brings together distinguished academicians, researchers and institutional leaders to guide scholars through different stages of their doctoral journey.
