🧭 About the Course

The “Article Development, Scientific Communication & Publications” course by IIT Bombay is designed to handhold researchers through the complete journey of developing a research paper — from conceptualization to submission.

Many researchers struggle to transform quality research into publishable articles due to challenges in framing research questions, structuring manuscripts, choosing journals, or responding to reviewers.

This course bridges that gap through guided mentorship, structured writing tasks, and hands-on editorial insights.

🔍 Course Modules

1️⃣ Developing Ideas & Introduction: Theory development, literature review, and crafting the motivation section.

2️⃣ Scientific Writing: Building the data/methods section and articulating the research design.

3️⃣ Results & Discussion: Presenting findings effectively with ethical academic communication.

4️⃣ Journal Selection & Revision: Understanding editorial expectations, avoiding common rejection causes.

5️⃣ Extended Abstract Presentations: Peer feedback and guided improvement.

6️⃣ Revised Submissions: Writing response letters and improving manuscripts.

By the end of the course, each participant is expected to have a journal-ready draft paper.
