About the Workshop

After its successful offering at the University of Hyderabad, the workshop on “Gen AI for Teaching and Research” is now being conducted by ServiceSetu Academics for a wider academic audience.

Generative AI is emerging as a transformative force in academia — empowering faculty and researchers to design courses, create instructional content, and streamline their research workflows. This FDP focuses on hands-on, practical applications of AI tools rather than technical fundamentals.

Participants will explore responsible AI integration, prompt engineering, and AI-driven data handling techniques to improve academic productivity while maintaining ethical and institutional integrity.

About the Speaker

Dr. P. Murugan is Assistant Professor at the School of Management Studies, University of Hyderabad.

He earned his PhD from Anna University and has served with IIM Shillong, the Australian Council for Educational Research (New Delhi), and NIT Tiruchirappalli. He is the recipient of the prestigious University of Hyderabad Chancellor’s Award for excellence in teaching and research.

With over 300+ workshops and FDPs delivered across India, Dr. Murugan is renowned for his expertise in Multivariate Data Analysis, Structural Equation Modeling, Mediation and Moderation Analysis, and Item Response Theory. His research is published in SSCI, ABDC, and ABS-indexed journals, and he has developed three courses for the SWAYAM platform.
