About the Position

Key Responsibilities

The appointed candidate will be expected to:

Conduct doctoral research in Christian history
Participate in research projects and academic publications
Contribute to teaching and academic administration
Work towards completing a dissertation
Finalise the dissertation agreement within 6–12 months
Present research at national and international conferences
Support editorial work for the Journal for Ancient Christianity
Contribute to the wider academic activities of the faculty

Candidate Profile

Preference may be given to candidates with:

A relevant Master’s degree in Protestant Theology, Church History, Christian History, or a related discipline
A strong interest in Late Antiquity and early Christianity
A high-quality Master’s thesis in Christian history
Strong academic writing and research skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Willingness to contribute to teaching, administration, and editorial work
