About the Position

The successful candidate will work closely with Professor Frank Biermann, Associate Professor Rakhyun E. Kim, and other researchers to strengthen Utrecht University's research network in Planetary Politics.

The position aims to advance interdisciplinary research on the political, institutional, legal, ethical, and societal dimensions of planetary change in an increasingly complex geopolitical landscape.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

Conduct high-quality interdisciplinary research on planetary politics.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should possess:

A Ph.D. in Political Science, International Relations, Environmental Studies, Sustainability Science, Public Policy, Law, Geography, or a closely related discipline.
Strong research background in environmental governance, sustainability, or global politics.
Excellent analytical, academic writing, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary and international research environments.
