About the Project

The successful applicant will work on the Horizon Europe 2025 project:

“Reimagining Work and Care: Gender Equality, Couple Dynamics, and Policy Innovation in Europe (REWORC)”

The project is funded by the European Commission and examines the relationship between employment, childcare arrangements, gender equality, family well-being and public policy across Europe.

Research Focus

The doctoral researcher will contribute to comparative research on:

  • The effects of childcare availability and quality on children’s long-term outcomes.

  • The influence of flexible working arrangements on family well-being.

  • Differences in childcare and employment experiences across socioeconomic groups.

  • Gender equality and couple dynamics.

  • Social and family-policy innovation across European countries.

Research Methods

The project will combine multiple research approaches, including:

  • Cross-national comparative analysis.

  • Longitudinal data analysis.

  • Survey experiments.

  • Qualitative interviews.

  • Collaboration with policy institutions and stakeholders.

Research Environment

The selected candidate will work within an international and interdisciplinary research environment. The project includes collaboration with academic partners across six European countries, providing opportunities for comparative research, scholarly exchange and policy engagement.
