About the Project

The successful candidates will contribute to an Innovate UK-funded research project focused on seamlessly integrating Terrestrial Networks (TN) and Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) into a unified future communication architecture.

The project focuses on:

Cloud-native multi-access edge computing
Radio resource management
Network slicing and service orchestration
Traffic steering and performance optimisation
Distributed orchestration across multiple cloud and network domains

Key Responsibilities

The selected fellows will:

Conduct research on learning-driven and optimisation-based methods for TN/NTN unified networks.
Develop algorithms for resource allocation, network slicing, and service orchestration.
Design and implement simulation and experimental frameworks.
Analyse research outcomes and contribute to project deliverables, publications, and presentations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams working on advanced communication technologies.
