Postdoctoral Researcher in Epistemology

Project Overview

The project explores the philosophical foundations of risk and its significance in ethics, metaphysics, and epistemology. It seeks to answer important questions about how risk influences knowledge, decision-making, moral responsibility, and human action.

The research investigates topics such as:

Risk and the nature of knowledge
Ethics of risk and responsibility
Epistemic risk and justification
Risk, certainty, and belief formation
Disinformation and epistemic harm
Pragmatic encroachment in epistemology
Anti-risk theories of knowledge

The selected researcher will contribute to developing new philosophical insights into how the concept of risk shapes contemporary epistemological and ethical debates.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Conduct independent research in epistemology within the project framework.
Investigate philosophical questions concerning knowledge, risk, ethics, and justification.

Eligibility Criteria

Contract Duration
