About the MOBILE Centre
The Center of Excellence for Global Mobility Law (MOBILE) is funded by the Danish National Research Foundation and conducts interdisciplinary research on the legal regulation of cross-border human mobility.
The Centre examines how legal systems shape migration, free movement, labour mobility, refugee protection, and human rights across different regions of the world, with a strong focus on comparative and empirical legal research.
Research Focus
The selected postdoctoral researcher will undertake socio-legal research on:
South American Mobility Law
Regional Migration Frameworks
Free Movement of Persons
Cross-border Human Mobility
Migration Governance
International and Domestic Legal Regimes
Refugee and Human Rights Law
Comparative Mobility Systems
The research will explore how regional legal frameworks governing migration and mobility are developed, implemented, enforced, and challenged in practice across South America.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
Conduct high-quality socio-legal research in mobility law.
Study the implementation and enforcement of South American migration frameworks.
Publish research findings in leading academic journals.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary researchers within the MOBILE Centre.
Contribute to comparative research on global mobility systems.
Participate in teaching activities at the Faculty of Law.
Support academic events, seminars, and research collaborations.
Eligibility
Applicants should possess:
A Ph.D. in Law or a closely related discipline.
Research expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Strong publication record or demonstrated research potential.
