About the Role

The selected researchers will work under the leadership of the CSST co-directors and contribute to the development of projects across the Centre’s research streams.

The role involves collaboration with research fellows, a Policy Fellow, multidisciplinary colleagues and an international network of researchers, particularly scholars based in the Global South. (SOAS Vacancies)

The appointed candidates will be expected to:

• Co-develop research projects within one or more CSST research streams

• Conduct research on sustainable structural transformation and economic diversification

• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team

• Collect and analyse quantitative or qualitative evidence

• Produce high-quality and high-impact academic publications

• Contribute to research dissemination activities

• Participate in policy engagement

• Collaborate with international research partners

• Support research focused on developing countries, particularly in Africa and Southeast Asia (SOAS Vacancies)

Candidate Profile

Applicants should have strong academic training in a relevant field, which may include:

• Economics

• Development Studies

• Geography

• Business

• Politics

• Engineering

• Another closely related discipline
