About the Project
The successful candidate will join the ERC-2020 Advanced Grant project:
Textuality and Diversity: A Literary History of Europe and its Global Connections, 1529–1683 (TextDiveGlobal)
The project is led by Professor Warren Boutcher (Principal Investigator) and explores literary history, textual diversity, and Europe's global cultural connections during the early modern period.
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will work closely with:
Professor Warren Boutcher (Principal Investigator)
Dr Clare Whitehead (Project Manager)
Olivia Warren (Digital Humanities Support Officer)

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
Conduct research supporting the TextDiveGlobal project.
Collect, analyse, and interpret historical and literary data.
Assist in writing, editing, and publishing research outputs.
Undertake documentary, archival, and image-based research.
Collaborate with project researchers and digital humanities specialists.
Contribute to project meetings, workshops, and dissemination activities.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should possess:
A Ph.D. (awarded, submitted, or with a viva formally scheduled) in a relevant discipline.
Specialisation in late medieval or early modern studies.
Experience in academic writing and editing.
Experience in research data collection and analysis.
Experience with documentary, archival, or image reproduction research.
Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
