About the Programme

The Sustainability Science PhD programme is a 240-credit doctoral programme, equivalent to four years of full-time study. Doctoral candidates are employed by Lund University and receive a salary throughout the programme while completing their research and doctoral thesis.

The position may also include departmental responsibilities, primarily teaching, amounting to up to 20% of full-time working hours. In such cases, the employment period may be extended accordingly.
