Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
Stabilize the ring laser perimeter and beam pointing systems.
Assess internal deformation of ring laser systems.
Investigate the capabilities and limitations of heterolithic ring lasers for Earth System Science.
Perform automated quality control of ring laser data.
Optimize scientific data provision to the research community.
Conduct scientific analysis for geodesy and geophysics applications.
Develop strategies for ultra-precise ground motion monitoring, including applications relevant to gravitational wave detection facilities.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should possess:
A Ph.D. in Physics, Optics, Earth Sciences, or a closely related field.
Ability to work independently as well as in an interdisciplinary research team.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail.
A keen interest in experimental physics, optics, and laser optics.
Experience with Python programming (preferred).
Excellent proficiency in the English language.
