The doctoral project explores the role of special poetry editions in Flemish literary culture between 1900 and 2020. It examines how the physical and material characteristics of literary publications—including visual and tactile aspects—shape literary interpretation and reading experiences.
The research aims to:
Document the production of special poetry editions in modern Flemish literature.
Investigate how materiality influences literary reading and interpretation.
Examine the historical development of these editions over time.
Develop analytical approaches to studying literary materiality.
