About the Research Project

The selected researcher will contribute to the Quality-Aware Representation Learning (QARL) project, which focuses on developing responsible and sustainable machine learning systems. The project explores how machine learning models can learn data representations that optimize not only predictive performance but also critical quality objectives such as:

Fairness
Privacy
Sustainability
Contextual fidelity

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Develop novel representation learning methods for quality-aware AI.
Design and evaluate machine learning models and benchmarking protocols.
Create evaluation frameworks for responsible AI systems.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary researchers and societal stakeholders.
Conduct high-quality research in an inclusive and collaborative environment.
Publish research findings in leading conferences and journals.

Note: This is a research-focused position with no teaching responsibilities.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should possess:

A doctoral degree (Ph.D.) or an equivalent foreign degree in:
- Computer Science
- Machine Learning
- Artificial Intelligence
- Data Science
- Statistics
- Or a closely related discipline

Candidates must satisfy the doctoral qualification requirements before the appointment begins.
