Project Title
“Design and Implementation of Advance Techniques in Non-linear Power Amplifiers Optimizing Size, Weight & Power (SWAP)”
The project focuses on the research, design and implementation of advanced techniques for non-linear RF power amplifiers, with particular emphasis on optimizing size, weight and power.
Essential Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
Ph.D. degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering
OR
Ph.D. in a relevant allied discipline from a recognized University or Institute.
Applicants should have a strong research background aligned with RF, microwave and power amplifier technologies.
Desirable Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with:
Strong background in Electromagnetic (EM) Simulation
Experience in RF Circuit Design
Experience with tools such as:
ADS
CST
HFSS
MATLAB
Expertise in RF measurements
At least two research publications in:
Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journals, or
Reputed international conferences
Key Responsibilities
The selected Postdoctoral Fellow will contribute to research and development activities involving:
Design and implementation of advanced techniques for non-linear RF power amplifiers.
Optimization of Size, Weight and Power (SWAP).
Design and simulation of RF/microwave circuits and systems.
Development of:
Power Amplifiers (PAs)
RF front-end modules
Passive components
Performing full-wave electromagnetic simulations and circuit co-design using industry-standard tools.
Conducting RF measurements and characterization, including:
S-parameters
Load-pull measurements
Large-signal analysis
Linearity metrics such as ACPR and IMD
Development and implementation of linearisation techniques such as:
DPD
Feedforward
Envelope tracking
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for system integration and optimization.
Publishing research outcomes in reputed journals and conferences.
Preparing technical reports, project progress updates and documentation for the sponsoring agency.
Fellowship
The selected candidate will receive:
INR 80,000 per month (Consolidated)
The appointment will be for 1 year or until completion of the project, whichever is applicable under the project conditions.
