IIT Ropar – Technology and Innovation Foundation (TIF), established under the Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) – Agriculture and Water Technology Development Hub (AWaDH), invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow. The foundation supports cutting-edge research, innovation, and technology-driven solutions in agriculture, water, and environmental sustainability under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be involved in:

• Operating a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) to study electromagnetic (EM) responses of food products.

• Analyzing and modelling EM response patterns for different food materials.

• Developing and benchmarking experimental setups.

• Conducting research studies and technical investigations.

• Preparing research proposals, technical reports, and scientific publications.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

• Ph.D. in:

  • Electronics Engineering (EC)

  • Electrical Engineering (EE)

  • Communication Engineering

  • Or equivalent relevant discipline

• Strong academic and research background.

Age Limit

• Maximum 38 years.

Desirable Skills

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience working with wireless signals and communication systems.

• Understanding of antenna systems and electromagnetic measurements.

• Hands-on experience in RF, microwave, or related experimental research areas.

• Strong analytical, modelling, and technical writing skills.

Salary

As per DST (Department of Science & Technology) norms.
