Eligibility Criteria
Academic Qualification: Applicants must be PhD holders who completed their degree within the last 5 years.
Publication Record: Candidates must have at least two papers as first or corresponding author in journals of repute or SCI/SCIE.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years, with relaxations provided as per Government of India guidelines.
Restriction for IIT (ISM) Graduates: PhD holders from IIT (ISM) are ineligible to apply for a period of two years from the date of their PhD award.
Fellowship Benefits & Salary
The fellowship is awarded for a maximum period of three years, with an initial offer for one year, extendable based on satisfactory performance.

2nd Year | INR 80,000/- + applicable HRA |
3rd Year | INR 80,000/- + applicable HRA |
Contingency Grant: Rs. 1,00,000/- (one lakh) per year.
Additional Benefits: Fellows may be allowed to attend conferences subject to the availability of funds in their contingency grant.
Application & Selection Process
Mentor Attachment: Selected IPDFs will work with faculty mentors primarily for research, but they may also assist in teaching, tutorials, laboratory classes, and project execution.
Screening: Applications will undergo a plagiarism check; proposals with a similarity index of less than 15% will proceed to departmental scrutiny.
Interview: Recommended candidates will be called for an interview and will be reimbursed Second AC to-and-fro fare for the shortest route. Interviews for candidates abroad or in specific circumstances may be conducted online.
