Project Title

“Theoretical Study of Controlling Elastic Wave Vibrations by Metasurfaces”

Research Areas

The selected candidate will contribute to research involving:

• Development of numerical methods for solving systems of nonlinear partial differential equations

• Development of asymptotic and perturbation methods for near-surface wave-field solutions

• Wave dynamics and metasurfaces

• Controlling the vibration behaviour of surface waves using metasurfaces

• Elasticity and solid mechanics

Essential Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• A Ph.D. in Mathematical Science and Engineering with a strong mathematical background

• Publications in reputed journals

Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis may also apply, provided they are considered suitable for the project.

Monthly Remuneration

The selected candidate will receive:

₹58,000 per month plus HRA, as applicable

Duration of Appointment

The position will be available from:

1 August 2026 to 7 March 2027

The appointment will be governed by the terms and conditions of the sponsored research project.
