IIT Gandhinagar Invites Applications for Post-Doctoral Fellow Position in Chemistry

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar has invited applications for the position of Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) in the Department of Chemistry. The fellowship is offered under a research project focused on the synthesis of functional organic materials. Eligible candidates with a Ph.D. in Chemistry and expertise in organic synthesis are encouraged to apply.

Fellowship

Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly fellowship of INR 72,000 to INR 84,000, as per institute norms.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

Ph.D. in Chemistry
Minimum 60% marks (or equivalent grade) from graduation onwards.
Minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in Class 10 and Class 12.

Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in:

Multistep Organic Synthesis
Total Synthesis
Functional Organic Materials

Job Responsibilities

The selected Post-Doctoral Fellow will be expected to:

Conduct advanced research in organic synthesis and functional dyes/materials.
Develop strategies for the synthesis of industrially relevant functional materials.
Mentor graduate and undergraduate students working in the laboratory.
Assist in preparing research proposals and scientific publications.
Contribute to the overall growth of the research programme in the laboratory.
