Project Title: Institute funding for hiring one post-doctoral fellow
Duration of Appointment: 10 Months
Consolidated Monthly Remuneration: INR 72,000/- to INR 84,000/- per month

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must meet the following academic criteria (governed by Institute norms):

B.E. in Civil / Mech / Naval Arch / Ship Building / Electrical / Appl Mech / Aerospace.
M.Tech in Structures / Renewable Energy / Offshore Structures / Coastal Structures / Maritime Logistics.
PhD in Civil / Structural / Naval Arch and Ship Building / Ocean Engg / Offshore Structures.

2. Academic Cut-off Requirements

Graduation Onwards: Minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
Class 10th and 12th: Minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade.

3. Age Limit

Maximum 35 years as on the closing date of the application.

Job Description & Expectations

The selected fellow will be expected to handle a diverse range of academic and field responsibilities:

Work on problems related to Maritime Engineering, including site investigations, experimental studies, and rigorous numerical studies. (Thrust areas can be viewed at dme.iitgn.ac.in).
Produce a monogram, research report, or book chapter(s) as a primary outcome of the fellowship.
Successfully publish at least TWO papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Actively write research proposals for various Government agencies in the Maritime sector to seek successful funding.
Assist in departmental research, academic activities, and teaching assistantships for M.Tech/PhD programs within the department.
Participate in Energy Research Cluster activities at IITGN and interact with industrial clients in the maritime sector to address practical field problems.
