Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications from eligible candidates for three (03) positions of Postdoctoral Fellow to conduct research work in the field of Computational Physics.

Position Details:

• Position: Post-doctoral Fellow
• Number of Vacancies: 03
• Duration: 4 Months (or till 31st May 2026, whichever is earlier)
• Remuneration: INR 72,000/- per month (Consolidated)

Job Description & Research Area:

The selected candidate will explore research in one of the following areas:

1. Machine Learning (ML) models for spin-based systems.
2. Density Functional Theory (DFT) for magnetic systems.
3. Micromagnetic simulations of spin-based systems.

Eligibility Criteria:

Essential Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Physics with a focus on computational work.
• Strong knowledge of Machine Learning methods, Density Functional Theory (DFT), or micromagnetic simulations.

Academic Record:

• The candidate must have a good academic record throughout.
• Minimum 60% (or equivalent grade) in Graduation and above.
• Minimum 55% (or equivalent grade) in 10th and 12th standards.
