Role and Research Responsibilities

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will contribute to the development and validation of a Responsive Governance Index for assessing government responsiveness across institutional and national settings.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting a multi-context qualitative case study

• Studying digital governance and public service ecosystems across India and Finland

• Designing governance measurement frameworks

• Conducting surveys and policy analysis

• Preparing reports and research outputs

• Publishing in leading academic journals

• Collaborating with international research partners

Educational Qualification

Applicants must hold a PhD in one of the following or a closely related field:

• Information Systems

• Management

• Economics

• Public Administration

• Public Policy

Candidates who have recently submitted their thesis or are nearing completion of their PhD may also apply.

Selected candidates must submit their PhD degree certificate within six months of the date of appointment.

Required Skills and Experience

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Strong background in quantitative, qualitative or mixed-methods research

• Experience with statistical analysis tools such as R, Python, Stata, SPSS or similar software

• Excellent academic writing and communication skills

• Research potential demonstrated through journal or conference publications

• Ability to conduct independent and collaborative research

• Interest in digital governance, public administration and public service systems
