The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has invited applications for two Postdoctoral Fellow positions to work on a research project focused on Qigong and Depression in Comorbidity of Chronic Medical Illness.
The appointments are initially for 6 to 12 months, with the possibility of further extension based on project requirements and performance.

Research Project
Qigong and Depression in Comorbidity of Chronic Medical Illness
The selected candidates will assist the Project Leader in conducting research aimed at exploring the effectiveness of Qigong-based interventions in managing depression among individuals with chronic medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidates will:
Assist the Project Leader in implementing the research project.
Conduct research activities related to rehabilitation, mental health and chronic disease management.
Support data collection, analysis and research documentation.
Collaborate with the research team in project execution and dissemination of findings.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should possess:
A Doctoral degree in:
Rehabilitation
Psychology
Health Sciences
Or another related discipline (or equivalent qualification)
No more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application.
Candidates should also have:
Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese.
Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
A high sense of responsibility.
The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
Preference will be given to candidates who are immediately available.
