Research Responsibilities

At least 70% of the appointment will be devoted to academic research.

The selected candidate will be expected to:

• Conduct independent and collaborative research

• Develop academic publications and research outputs

• Participate in departmental research projects

• Present findings at conferences and academic events

• Contribute to the research profile of the department

• Support grant applications and research dissemination

Teaching and Supervision

The appointed candidate will also:

• Assist with teaching at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels in Dutch

• Guide students during exercises and work placements

• Supervise research papers and Master’s dissertations

• Support course preparation, assessment, and academic administration

• Contribute to student mentoring and academic development

Candidate Profile

Applicants should have:

• A completed PhD in Political Science or a closely related discipline

• A strong academic research and publication record

• Experience in university teaching or student supervision

• Ability to teach and supervise students in Dutch

• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
