The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) is pleased to announce an open call for post-doctoral researchers from Indonesia and abroad. This initiative aims to foster collaborative research projects addressing key global challenges aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

About the Program

The UNS post-doctoral program provides an opportunity for researchers to work alongside UNS faculty members on high-impact research projects. Successful candidates will collaborate on studies that contribute to sustainable development, strengthen research partnerships, and advance knowledge in their respective fields.

Selected researchers will receive a living allowance of IDR 30,000,000 for a 3-month research stay in Solo, Indonesia, with access to UNS’s research facilities and academic support.

Research Focus Areas

Applicants are encouraged to develop research proposals in line with one or more of the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

• SDG 2: Zero Hunger – Research projects addressing food security, nutrition, and sustainable agriculture.
• SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation – Innovative solutions for water management, sanitation, and hygiene.
• SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth – Studies promoting sustainable economic growth, entrepreneurship, and labor market development.
• SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions – Research on governance, justice systems, and institutional strengthening.
• SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals – Initiatives that enhance collaboration among institutions, communities, and governments.

Program Timeline

• Proposal Submission: October 6 – November 14, 2025
• Research Implementation: December 2025 – June 2026
