Research Context
The project will investigate questions such as:
How can AI help organisations develop and maintain trust?
How can AI support collaborative decision-making?
What risks can AI create for inter-organisational trust?
How can AI systems be designed to provide well-calibrated decision support?
How can these approaches be applied in supply chain management or transport?
The research will be conducted within the Division of Supply and Operations Management, Department of Technology Management and Economics, in close collaboration with the Interaction Design and Software Engineering Division at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
The selected researcher may be expected to:
Conduct interdisciplinary research on AI-supported decision-making
Study trust and collaboration between organisations
Develop conceptual frameworks, methods, or decision-support tools
Apply research to supply chains, logistics, operations, or transport
Collect and analyse qualitative or quantitative data
Publish findings in international journals and conferences
Collaborate with researchers across management and computer science
Engage with industry and other external stakeholders
Candidate Profile
Applicants should demonstrate:
A completed PhD in a relevant discipline
Strong analytical and research capabilities
Interest in artificial intelligence, trust, and organisational decision-making
Expertise in supply chain management, transport, operations management, information systems, computer science, or a related area
Ability to work in an interdisciplinary research environment
Strong academic writing and communication skills
Motivation to contribute to theoretically, industrially, and socially relevant research
