Qualification

Applicants should hold a PhD in any of the following or a closely related discipline:

• Mechanical Engineering

• Materials Science

• Polymer Engineering

• Tribology

• Computational Materials Science

• Artificial Intelligence

• Computer Science

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

• Conduct advanced research on AI-assisted design and development of self-lubricating polymers and polymer composites for high-temperature tribological applications.

• Develop machine learning and physics-informed models to predict friction, wear, thermal stability and mechanical performance of advanced materials.

• Contribute to the design, fabrication and characterisation of advanced materials.
