Development of Rare-Earth-Free Permanent Magnets

Research activities include:

• Development of rare-earth-free (RE-free) permanent magnets with enhanced magnetic performance and thermal reliability.

• Design and optimization of alloy compositions.

• Development of advanced processing routes for magnetic materials.

• Microstructural tailoring to improve:

  • Coercivity

  • Remanence

  • Magnetic energy product
