Position Overview

Ibn Haldun University’s School of Business – Department of Economics invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in Behavioral and Computational Economics. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for one semester, extendable up to two semesters. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative research and teaching in an international academic environment.

Workload: 3 days per week

Salary: 1000 USD per month (in Turkish Lira equivalent)

Position Details

Title: Postdoctoral Researcher (Behavioral & Computational Economics)

Faculty: School of Business – Department of Economics

Type: Full-time, Fixed-term (1 Semester, extendable up to 2)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality research in Behavioral and Computational Economics.
• Contribute to departmental research initiatives and collaborative projects.
• Assist in teaching and mentoring undergraduate or graduate students.
• Participate in academic activities and curriculum development.

Possible Research Areas

Applicants are encouraged to conduct research in one or more of the following areas:

• Behavioral Economics of Poverty and Decision-Making
• Agent-Based Modeling of Inequality and Social Mobility
• Simulation-Based Policy Evaluation
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Poverty and Inequality Research
• Behavioral and Computational Finance

Qualifications

• PhD (or near completion) in Economics or a closely related field.
• Strong research record and publication potential.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Teaching or advising experience is preferred.
