Research Focus

The selected postdoctoral researcher will contribute to research on the governance and security of global semiconductor value chains, with a particular emphasis on:

Semiconductor supply chains
Chip security and resilience
Technology governance
Geopolitics of emerging technologies
International economic and technology policy
Global value chain governance
Strategic autonomy and technological security

Eligibility

Applicants should possess:

PhD in a relevant discipline, such as:
- Law
- Political Science
- International Relations
- Public Policy
- Economics
- Technology Governance
- Science and Technology Studies
- Or another closely related field

Candidates with expertise in semiconductor policy, geopolitical analysis, technology regulation, digital governance, or international governance frameworks will be preferred.

Salary and Benefits

Monthly Gross Salary: €4,728 – €6,433
Working Hours: 38 hours per week

Additional employment benefits will be provided in accordance with the University of Amsterdam's employment policies and regulations.
