Project Overview
The successful candidate will work with an international team to examine the socio-technical dimensions of payments infrastructure. Key research questions involve whether stablecoin payments will undermine traditional credit card revenue models or if existing networks will maintain control through the integration of digital tokens.
Candidate Requirements
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Political Economy, Economic Sociology, or Science & Technology Studies.
Skills: Strong communication skills and English proficiency (IELTS $\ge 6.5$ overall, with no band below 6.0, or equivalent).
Interests: Familiarity with Science & Technology Studies (STS), platform studies, blockchain, and financial sector dynamics is highly advantageous.
