Program Categories

Applications are open across various departments, centres, and schools within the institute for the following levels:

Ph.D. (Available across 16 Departments, 9 Centres, and 6 Schools. Joint Ph.D. programs with Sorbonne University and NYCU Taiwan are also available)
M.Tech. & Interdisciplinary M.Tech. (High Value Assistantship available in select programs).
M.S. (Research).
M.Des. (Industrial Design).
M.Sc. (Cognitive Science, Economics, and Joint Biological Sciences program).
M.P.P. (Master of Public Policy).
M.A. (Culture, Society, Thought).
(Note: Ph.D., M.Tech., and M.S.(R) programs are available on both Full-Time (FT) and Part-Time (PT) bases. M.Des., M.Sc., M.P.P., and M.A. are strictly Full-Time).

Eligibility Criteria

Criteria	Description
Ph.D. / M.Tech. / M.S.(R) / M.Des. / M.P.P.	A minimum CGPA of 6.0 (General/OBC/EWS) or 5.50 (SC/ST/PwD) on a 10-point scale, OR 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD).
M.Sc. / M.A.	A minimum CGPA of 5.5 (General/OBC/EWS) or 5.0 (SC/ST/PwD) on a 10-point scale, OR 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD).
Qualifying Examinations	A valid GATE/National Exam score is required for Full-Time Ph.D./M.Tech./M.S.(R) programs. A valid CEED score is mandatory for the M.Des. program.
Exemptions	Graduates/students from CFTIs who entered via JEE and possess a minimum CGPA of 8.000 are exempted from the GATE/National Exam requirement.

Registration Fees

General/OBC/EWS Candidates: INR 200 per application form.

SC/ST/PwD Candidates: INR 50 per application form (Note: SC/ST/PwD students are also exempted from tuition fees upon admission).

Foreign nationals are not eligible to apply under this specific advertisement.
