Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur, in collaboration with IAE Bordeaux University School of Management (France), invites applications for India's pioneering dual-degree doctoral initiative.

This program is specifically designed for working professionals aiming to achieve advanced academic qualifications without disrupting their careers. Upon successful completion, candidates will be awarded two prestigious degrees:

1. Executive PhD from IIM Sambalpur

2. DBA from IAE Bordeaux University School of Management

Program Overview & Objectives

The program tailors to individuals with significant work experience, emphasizing practical applicability and interdisciplinary approaches.

Detailed Program Structure (3-Year Timeline)

Year 1: Research Foundation

• Themes: Practice in Business Research & Research Proposal.

• Objective: Establishing foundational research methodologies and finalizing the core research proposal.

Year 2: Research Progress

• Themes: Verification of progress with the research & Preliminary presentation of the thesis.

• Objective: Refining data collection, analysis, and presenting preliminary findings.

Year 3: Thesis & Defense

• Themes: Presentation of Thesis (Dissertation & Oral presentation).

• Objective: Final thesis submission and successful oral defense to qualify for the degree.

Eligibility & Selection Process

The highly competitive selection process evaluates candidates on both academic and professional fronts:

• Academic Profile: Evaluation based on Graduation scores and overall percentage.

• Personal Interview: Assessing the candidate's research acumen and professional alignment.

• Final Selection: The final merit list will be prepared based on the candidate's resume and performance in the personal interview.

Application Requirements:

Candidates are required to submit their updated CV, self-attested academic credentials, and a Statement of Purpose (SOP).

Comprehensive Fee Structure (2026-2029)

The program involves fee components payable to both partner institutions.

Important Financial Guidelines:

• Caution Money: A one-time, refundable caution money deposit of ₹ 25,000 must be paid along with the first-semester fees.

• Accommodation: Candidates will be required to pay a separate campus accommodation fee during their mandatory stays at the IIMS campus.

• Jurisdiction: Any dispute concerning admissions will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts within the city of Sambalpur only.
