Program Overview

The Doctoral Programme at IIM Lucknow provides a rigorous research ecosystem. Scholars undergo intensive coursework and work closely with faculty on path-breaking research projects.

Financial Assistance (Fellowship & Grants)

IIM Lucknow offers a robust financial package to support scholars throughout their doctoral journey.

• Monthly Stipend:
• INR 35,000/- per month (During Coursework, Year 1 & 2).
• INR 40,000/- per month (After Comprehensive Exam, Year 3 onwards).
• Computer Grant: A one-time grant of INR 50,000/- to purchase a laptop/computer.
• Contingency Grant: INR 10,000/- to INR 15,000/- per year for academic expenses.
• Conference Support: Up to INR 1,60,000/- is provided for attending national and international conferences.
• Insurance: Family health insurance cover of up to INR 1 Lakh.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill ONE of the following criteria:

1. Master’s Degree: Master’s degree or 2-year PG Diploma in any discipline with at least 55% marks.
2. 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree (Direct Entry):

• B.Tech / B.E / 4-Year Degree with at least 75% marks (or equivalent CGPA).
• Note: This is a direct gateway for engineering graduates to pursue a PhD without a Master's degree.

1. Professional Qualification: CA / ICWA / CS along with a B.Com degree (min 55% marks).

Qualifying Exams: A valid score in one of the following is mandatory: CAT / GATE / GRE / GMAT / JRF (UGC/CSIR) (Scores should be valid as of the application deadline).

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting: Based on the candidate's academic profile, work experience (if any), and performance in the qualifying exam.
2. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview at the IIM Lucknow campus (or online, subject to notification).
