PhD Programmes – Admissions Open

Applications are invited for admission to Full-Time and Part-Time PhD Programmes starting January 2026 at the Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad campuses in the following disciplines:

• Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Humanities & Social Sciences

• Mathematics
• Mechanical Engineering
• Pharmacy
• Physics

Financial Assistance

All full-time PhD students admitted will be eligible for fellowship and contingency support:

• Fellowship of ₹37,000 per month (enhanced to ₹40,000 / ₹42,000 after two years, subject to performance)
• Annual contingency grant of ₹20,000
• Fellowship through Sponsored Projects or external fellowships (UGC/CSIR NET) also possible
• International Travel Support up to ₹1.5 lakh for presenting research at global conferences

Eligibility Criteria

• M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm./MBA/M.Phil. or equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate*
• M.Sc./B.E./B.Pharm. or equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate*
• M.A. (for Humanities & Social Sciences) with minimum 55% aggregate*
• For Part-Time applicants: Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience

Note: Meeting minimum eligibility does not guarantee admission. Departments may set additional shortlisting criteria. Candidates are advised to check the department websites for specific research areas available for intake.
