Raman-Charpak Fellowship 2025 – Applications Open for Indian and French PhD Scholars

The Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research (IFCPAR/CEFIPRA) is pleased to announce the Raman-Charpak Fellowship 2025, inviting applications from Indian doctoral students and French Master’s/PhD students seeking short-term international research opportunities.

This prestigious fellowship promotes scientific collaboration between India and France and provides a platform for early-career researchers to broaden their academic and research horizons.

About the Fellowship

The Raman-Charpak Fellowship enables Indian and French doctoral scholars to undertake research stays of 2 to 5 months at a partner university or research institute in France or India, respectively. Fellows gain exposure to international research environments, advanced methodologies, and opportunities to collaborate with leading scientists in their field.

Eligibility

• Indian applicants: Enrolled in a PhD program at a recognized Indian institution.
• French applicants: Enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in France.
• Scholars from all areas of Science, Technology, and Medicine are eligible, including Engineering, Mathematical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Computational Sciences.

Fellowship Benefits

• Monthly Stipend: €1710 for Indian Fellows
• Round-Trip Airfare: Covering travel between home country and host institution
• Insurance Coverage: Comprehensive health and travel insurance during the fellowship period
