Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in one of the following disciplines:

• Environmental / Energy Economics
• Geography
• Climate Studies
• Water Resource Engineering / Economics
• Energy Policy
• Environmental Studies

Experience

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience including PhD is required.
• Candidates should demonstrate a strong research background, with evidence of publications or applied research in the fields mentioned.

Role & Responsibilities

The selected fellows will:

• Conduct high-quality, independent research aligned with the Centre’s focus areas.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within IIT Kanpur and beyond.
• Contribute to policy-relevant research outputs, academic publications, and outreach activities.
• Support ongoing projects and help in developing new research initiatives at JTRC.
