The American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites outstanding early-career researchers and creative professionals from across the globe to apply for the prestigious 2026 AUS Postdoctoral Fellowship Award (PDFA26) — a fully-funded, two-year fellowship designed to foster interdisciplinary excellence and scholarly innovation.

The AUS Postdoctoral Fellowship offers a vibrant and collaborative academic environment in the United Arab Emirates. This award supports independent, high-impact research across disciplines including:

Eligibility Criteria
- PhD or terminal degree awarded within the last 3 years
- Proven record of research excellence or creative achievement
- Open to all nationalities and disciplines
- Must secure commitment from an AUS faculty supervisor
- PhD must not be from AUS
- Proposal must align with AUS strategic priorities: AUS Research Priorities

📄 Application Process

- Letter(s) of Support from AUS Faculty Supervisor(s)
- Two Letters of Recommendation
📝 Evaluation Criteria
Applications will be assessed on:
- Applicant Profile (50%): Academic background, publications, awards, etc.
- Proposed Engagement at AUS (50%): Project strength, mentorship potential, and institutional fit.
Reporting Requirement
At the end of the fellowship, fellows must submit a detailed report outlining project outcomes and scholarly contributions, including publications (published, accepted, or under review).
