About the Programme

The Python Certification Programme is designed to equip participants with practical skills in data handling, machine learning, and natural language processing. Through a carefully structured, hands-on curriculum, the programme blends essential Python foundations with real-world applications in data analysis, explainable AI, sentiment analysis, and web scraping.

  • Python basics (variables, loops, lists, if-else)
  • Data handling with Pandas (filter, sort, add columns)
  • Visualization (bar charts, histograms)
  • Mini-task: Find top 3 scorers & plot marks

Day 3 – Talk to a Table

  • Practical session on Pandas & visualization
  • Hands-on exploration of student datasets

Day 4 – Decision Trees & Random Forests (Explainable ML)

  • Intro to Machine Learning (supervised vs unsupervised)
  • Build & interpret decision tree and random forest models
  • Mini-task: Discover factors affecting admissions

Day 5 – Neighbors, Probabilities & Ensembles

  • KNN, NaΓ―ve Bayes, and Ensemble Voting Classifier
  • Mini-task: Compare ensemble vs individual models

Day 6 – NLP Foundations & Sentiment Analysis

  • Text preprocessing (cleaning, stopwords, TF-IDF)
  • Sentiment classification on feedback data
  • Visualization: word cloud & frequent term plots

Day 7 – Web Scraping + Topic Modeling & Sentiment Analysis

  • Web scraping with requests + BeautifulSoup
  • Topic modeling with LDA
  • Outcome: 1-page Insight Summary combining sentiment & topics
