Victoria University Receives UGC Approval to Launch Delhi NCR Campus
Victoria University, Australia, has received the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India's Letter of Approval to establish and operate its campus in Gurugram, Delhi NCR, marking another major milestone in the internationalisation of Indian higher education.
Announced during the visit of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the approval reflects the strengthening educational partnership between India and Australia under the UGC (Setting up and Operation of Campuses of Foreign Higher Educational Institutions in India) Regulations, 2023.
The new campus is expected to welcome its first batch of students in 2026, providing Indian learners with direct access to internationally recognised Australian degrees without the need to study abroad.
