IIM Kashipur Appoints Prof Neeraj Dwivedi as New Director

Kashipur, India – July 2025: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur has announced the appointment of Prof Neeraj Dwivedi as its new director. Prof Dwivedi brings with him an extensive and diverse professional background, spanning more than 25 years across academia, corporate leadership, and executive management.

Prof Dwivedi is an esteemed alumnus of IIM Lucknow, having completed his Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) specializing in Strategic Management. In addition to his management qualifications, he holds an MTech from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and a BTech degree from GB Pant University, Pantnagar.

Prior to this appointment, Prof Dwivedi served at IIM Lucknow as a Professor of Strategic Management. During his tenure there, he undertook several critical leadership roles, including serving as Dean (Faculty and Programmes), Chairperson of Post-graduate Programmes, Admissions, Student Affairs & Placements, and as a Member of the Board of Governors. Under his leadership, IIM Lucknow achieved the internationally recognized AACSB accreditation, significantly enhancing the institute’s global standing.

Prof Dwivedi is particularly noted for his role as the national convener for the Common Admission Test (CAT) in 2017, where he successfully managed one of India’s largest and most complex competitive examinations, earning him national recognition for his leadership and administrative excellence.

His professional journey includes notable stints at renowned institutions such as IIM Indore, IIM Kozhikode, and the School of Management at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. His experience also extends into industry, where he dedicated approximately seven years before transitioning into academia, giving him a well-rounded perspective on organizational management and leadership.

With Prof Dwivedi at the helm, IIM Kashipur is expected to continue on its trajectory of growth, innovation, and academic excellence. His rich academic background, strategic insights, and proven leadership skills will undoubtedly drive IIM Kashipur forward as it continues to establish itself as a premier institution for management education and research.
