Director, IIM Nagpur Delivers Keynote Address at 75th Year Celebrations of Shri Ganeshdas Rathi Chhatralaya Samitee, Amravati
Bhimaraya Metri, Director, Indian Institute of Management Nagpur, delivered a distinguished address while presiding over the Academic Session of the 75th Year Celebrations of Shri Ganeshdas Rathi Chhatralaya Samitee, Amravati, an institution established in 1950 and actively contributing to educational development across the region.
In his address, Dr. Metri reflected on the transforming landscape of education, emphasising the increasing role of artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and data-driven decision-making. He highlighted the growing need for lifelong learning, adaptability, and continuous skill development to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global economy.
Underscoring India’s strategic shift from being a technology consumer to a technology producer, Dr. Metri stressed the importance of research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and skill readiness in building a future-ready workforce. He further noted that meaningful and sustainable progress requires a careful integration of advanced technologies with India’s rich knowledge traditions and value systems.
The academic session also featured addresses by Rekha Rathi, National President, Akhil Bharatiya Marwadi Sanghathan, and Vilas Sapkal, Vice Chancellor, MGM University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
The session provided valuable perspectives for students, educators, and academic institutions, contributing meaningfully to the national discourse on education and development in the context of Viksit Bharat 2047.
