XLRI Delhi-NCR invites applications for the position of Research Assistant in the areas of Sustainability and Operations/Decision Sciences.

Position Details

• Position: Research Assistant

• Location: Delhi-NCR

• Work Type: Full-Time

• Nature of Employment: Contractual (Initial 6 months, renewable based on performance)

• Last Date to Apply: April 30, 2026

Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s degree in:

  • Sustainability / Environmental Studies

  • Development Studies

  • Operations Research

  • Quantitative Economics / Statistics / Mathematics

  • Or allied disciplines with strong quantitative exposure

• Prior research experience is desirable but not mandatory

• Candidates planning for PhD/Doctoral studies are strongly encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities

• Work on research projects with faculty members

• Conduct quantitative data analysis and modeling

• Assist in data collection (primary & secondary)

• Support research leading to publications in high-impact journals

• Contribute to research in areas such as:

  • Circular Economy

  • Green Operations

  • Environmental Policy

Required Skillsets

Mandatory:

• Proficiency in R / Python / Stata / MATLAB / Excel

• Strong foundation in statistics and mathematical modeling

• Data handling, processing, and analytical skills

Desirable:

• Understanding of sustainability frameworks

• Knowledge of optimization techniques / policy analysis tools

Compensation

• As per XLRI norms, based on qualifications and experience
