The Department of Physics, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur, has invited applications from eligible and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a CSIR-funded research project. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in plasma physics, computational modelling, and energy-related research with the possibility of pursuing a Ph.D. at VNIT Nagpur.

Project Title

Modelling and Simulation of Plasma-Catalytic Processes for Energy and Environmental Applications

Project Duration

• Initial appointment for 6 months

• Extendable based on satisfactory performance up to the completion of the project

Fellowship

• INR 37,000 per month

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

• M.Sc. in Physics from a recognized university/institute with minimum 55% marks

• CSIR-UGC JRF qualification

• Candidate's age should not exceed 28 years as on the date of application (age relaxation applicable as per Government of India norms)

Desirable Qualification

• Background in computational modelling will be preferred.

Ph.D. Opportunity

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to register for a regular Ph.D. programme at VNIT Nagpur, subject to satisfying the institute's eligibility criteria.
