The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur has invited applications for the position of Project Associate-I under an ANRF-funded research project. The project focuses on developing an AI-assisted computer-aided system for automated detection and grading of prostate cancer severity using multimodal data fusion. Eligible candidates with a background in Electronics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should possess:

• B.Tech./M.Tech./M.E./M.S. degree (or equivalent) in:

  • Electronics and Communication Engineering

  • Computer Science

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Biomedical/Medical Data Science

  • Related disciplines

• Candidates awaiting final semester results may also apply, subject to fulfilling eligibility at the time of joining.

Desired Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python

• Experience in:

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Computer Vision

  • Image Processing

  • Medical Image Analysis

• Good communication and research aptitude

Fellowship

Candidates with GATE/NET

• INR 37,000 per month + 20% HRA (1st & 2nd Year)

• INR 42,000 per month + 20% HRA (3rd & 4th Year)

Candidates without GATE/NET

• INR 30,000 per month + 20% HRA (1st & 2nd Year)

• INR 33,000 per month + 20% HRA (3rd & 4th Year)

Ph.D. Opportunity

Selected candidates may have the opportunity to register for a regular Ph.D. programme at VNIT Nagpur, subject to satisfying the institute's Ph.D. admission eligibility criteria.
