University of Hyderabad Recruitment 2026: SRF Position

The Centre for Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS) at the University of Hyderabad is inviting applications for a temporary Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position. This role is part of the MoES-IITM sponsored project, "Improving initial conditions for weather and climate prediction - Coupled Data Assimilation".

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

• Essential: M.Sc. in Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences, Meteorology, or Physical Oceanography, OR M.Tech. in Atmospheric or Ocean Sciences.

• Experience: Minimum two years of experience in data assimilation methods, AI/ML techniques, or installing and running general circulation/regional models.

Desirable Skills:

• Expertise in processing ocean and/or atmospheric variables evidenced by publications in reputed journals.

• Proficiency in Fortran, C, and shell programming in Linux/UNIX.

• Data analysis skills using GrADS, Ferret, NCL, CDO, or MATLAB.

• Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.
