Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

• Contribute to the research and teaching activities of the Chair of Political Science with a focus on International Politics.

• Independently teach courses in International Relations and International Politics.

• Participate in interdisciplinary teaching with colleagues from International Law and International Economics.

• Teach approximately four academic hours or two courses per semester.

• Contribute primarily to the BA and MA programmes in International Relations offered by the Center for International Studies.

• Supervise bachelor’s and master’s theses.

• Participate in departmental and faculty committees.

• Undertake academic administrative and representative responsibilities.

• Develop an independent profile in research and teaching.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should possess:

• An excellent master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Political Science or a related Social Science discipline.

• An excellent PhD in Political Science, International Relations or a related field.

• Strong expertise in International Relations and international organisations.

• Excellent written and spoken proficiency in both English and German.

• The ability to contribute effectively to teaching, research and academic administration.
