Educational Qualification

Applicants must possess:

• First Division B.Tech./B.E. in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

• M.Tech./M.E. in Structural Engineering, Structural Dynamics Engineering, or Earthquake Engineering

• Valid GATE or NET qualification

Desirable Skills and Experience

Preference may be given to candidates with a strong background in programming and simulation tools, including:

• SAP

• ETABS

• MATLAB

• ABAQUS

• ANSYS

• Artificial Intelligence

• Computational Fluid Dynamics

Candidates with experience in simulating heat and mass transfer in structural members on computational or experimental platforms are encouraged to apply.

The selected candidate may also be encouraged to register for a PhD programme in the Department of Civil Engineering at SVNIT Surat, subject to institutional rules.

Fellowship

The selected candidate will receive:

• INR 37,000 per month for the first two years

• INR 42,000 per month as Senior Research Fellow in the third year

• HRA as per SERB regulations

Duration

The appointment will initially be for one year and may be extended up to the completion of the research project, subject to satisfactory performance and funding conditions.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is:

30 years as on the application submission date

A relaxation of five years may be provided to candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, physically challenged, and women categories, as per applicable rules.
